Borescope Inspection
Nortest provides video borescope inspection services to industry,
working in the UK and overseas we are able to inspect your plant
in restricted locations and remote locations. Amongst others we

Tubular Column Inspection

Ultrasonic examination of tubular lighting columns can be performed
using portable testing equipment with instant results.
Qualified personnel are used to measure the thickness of each column,
scan the area under test and record the results for reporting. Columns
can be tested and corrosion can be detected in initial through to
advanced stages.
Many columns may be old but yet still be in good condtion. Other
columns start to corrode often from the inside working outwards.
The rate of corrosion can be monitored at a later date before it
is cut down. Columns found to be in poor condition are reported
immediately to the local authority.
Testing can be carried out through the paint and wall thickness
reading can be taken to within 0.5mm accuracy.
Below Ground Testing
Nortest Below Ground Tester provides a simple
to operate inspection system that will reliably and accurately detect
and measure any reduction in the thickness of the column wall due
to corrosion or other cause.
Nortest Below Ground Tester will inspect the column
in that critical zone both above and below ground level and fpor
deeply planted columns can inspect down to 750mm below ground level.
Vessel & Plant Surveys
Various serviceability surveys can be carried out including ultrasonic
wall thickness and corrosion checks in plant both above and below
ground.

welding to approved British and International Standards and recognised
